Chinese Artists Network makes Chinese contemporary art accessible to the rest of the world. Clear communication with an English-speaking audience while maintaining a strong, contemporary Chinese identity were the prime considerations for this project.
To create the highly stylised typeface at the heart of this visual identity, we drew on the most ancient roots of Chinese symbology: the hexagrams of the I Ching. The sense of Chinese identity is further enhanced by the slightly irregular square form, recalling a traditional Chinese seal. Using a striking pink instead of the ubiquitous Chinese red and a bold sans-serif font lends the logo a unique and contemporary feel.
